SAN RAMON VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
699 Old Orchard Drive, Danville, CA 94526
Our records show that your child had medications on campus during this school year. Please plan to have an adult pick up any unused medications the last day of school, or by June 9th, the last day the school office will be open.
At the start of each school year, a new Medication Authorization Form needs to be filled out and signed by you and your physician. Please find this on the www.srvusd.net website under the parents section, or go to http://www.srvusd.net/parents/forms. If your child has a life-threatening allergy for which Benadryl/Epipen may be required, use the HCP Life Threatening Allergies form. If your child has other medications, you may use the Medication at School form. If your child’s physician wants your child to be able to carry an inhaler medication, the bottom part of the form requires a second signature by you and the physician. Please note that any and all medications, even over the counter medications such as Tylenol, Advil, cough drops, seasonal allergy medications, etc must be accompanied by a physician form. This is a SRVUSD policy.
If you have any questions, please call the school office for clarification or feel free to contact me via email.

The Diablo Vista Teen Center offers a supervised, fun place, for students to go on campus when school is out for the day. A typical day includes structured homework time, daily activity choices, and plenty of time to hang out with friends and play sports or games. To attend this no-cost, drop-in recreation program, students must be registered through the Town of Danville and must bring a completed Health an Emergency Form on the first day they attend. For more information, visit www.danville.ca.gov/teens, and click Middle School, or call Allison Socha, Teen Program Coordinator, at (925)314-3403.
Behind the gym
The San Ramon Valley Unified School District Board of Education is conducting a confidential search for the next District superintendent.
As part of this process, the Board is seeking community input about the desired characteristics to be used to develop recruiting criteria and selecting the next superintendent. Sally Frazier, Ed.D, Don Iglesias and Jim Brown of Leadership Associates were selected to advise the Board in this important process. In early March, they met with SRVUSD stakeholders and gathered input from members of the community (parents, employees and others interested in our District). In addition, a survey was conducted to gather further input from the community.
If you have questions, please contact Leadership Associates by emailing email@example.com or call (760) 771-4277.
Superintendent Search Timeline
The SRVUSD Board of Education has approved the following timeline for the Superintendent Search.
Superintendent Search Process
Leadership Associates has conducted over 350 superintendent searches including many school districts, with similar demographics and funding as San Ramon Valley Unified School District. They will recruit candidates from the region, entire state of California, and nationally, to assist the Board in developing a broad field of candidates, so the Board can select the best match for our district. Leadership Associates conducts “confidential searches.” It is their practice that the names of the applicants are not shared publicly during the search process. The reason for the confidential process is to allow the consultants to recruit sitting superintendents, who are highly successful and well respected in their school districts and communities. Many successful superintendents are reluctant or unwilling to apply for positions where their application is publicly announced prior to the Board determining a finalist. The following graphic illustrates the process Leadership Associates will use to assist the Board with recruitment and selection of the new superintendent.
