Important Dates

July 28 - District Annual Update (via Parent Portal). Information will come directly from the school district.

Aug 4 - Online Registration opens for DVMS School, PTSA, and Foundation. Mandatory forms are also available at this time.

Aug 8 - Diablo Vista Walk-Through Registration (9am-noon or 4-7pm).

Aug 10 - Orientation for incoming 6th grade students (Eagles Take Off) and NEW 7th and 8th graders from 8am - 11:30am.

Aug 11 - Student schedules available on Parent Portal

Aug 14 - First Day of School (11:30 dismissal)

Registration 2017-2018

Welcome to the DVMS Online Registration for the 2017-2018 school year! If you are new to our school, or would like to learn more about the registration process, scroll down for more information. In a hurry? Begin the Express Registration process right now!

Express Registration

 

1. Complete the following mandatory forms (required):

a) Student Directory Opt-In/Out Form

b) PTSA Activity Waiver

c) PTSA Photo Release

d) DTAP Immunization Confirmation (7th Grade Only)

2. Click on an icon below to purchase or make voluntary donations to support your child's education (optional):

3. Pay for your student's school pictures online (optional). Or download the paper form.

4. Sign up to volunteer at DVMS (click here for volunteer clearance).

5. Attend the Registration Walkthrough Aug 8 from 9am to noon or 4pm to 7pm (optional but highly recommended).

6. Complete the SRVUSD Annual Update (required).

New This Year!

  • Academic Planners - You don't need to purchase an Academic Planner for your student this year! The successful fundraising of the DVMS Leadership raised enough funds to purchase an Academic Planner for each student at school. Planners will be handed out during first period class on the second day of school.
  • Yearbooks - They will not be sold by the school or during DVMS registration. Instead, parents will order them online directly from the publisher in September, so keep an eye out for an announcement.
  • Spirit Wear Flyer - Click here to download the paper spirit wear flyer. Prices on the webstore are higher than the flyer in order to cover the credit card fees, so pay by check to save! Bring your completed form and check to the Walkthrough Registration on Aug 8, or to the school office before September 15th.

Online Stores

The DVMS Foundation, School and PTSA each have a store or website where you can make purchases and voluntary donations online. The stores are separate because the PTSA is not permitted to co-mingle funds with the school or Foundation, and so must use a separate system to collect and process payments.

The Foundation site is where you can make a voluntary donation to help reduce class size. The suggested donation is for $375, but you may choose to make a donation in any amount. Want to learn more? Please click here to visit the Foundation webpage.

In the Diablo Vista store, you can purchase items such as PE clothes or yearbooks, and can make voluntary donations to support the classes that your child will be taking, such as Instrumental Music or Science. This is also where you can make voluntary donations for after school sports. When you visit this store, you can select your child's grade and you will see all of the items in the store that are relevant to your child's experience at Diablo Vista.  

In the new PTSA store, you can purchase a PTSA membership or a paper-based Student Directory.  Spirit wear is also available for purchase online!

Mandatory Forms to be Completed

In order to simplify the process of collecting permission forms and information from parents, we are asking all families to complete the following mandatory forms:

  • Student Directory Opt-In/Out Formthe information in the student directory is provided directly by parents, we do not obtain it from the school district. Please complete this form to let us know what information to include in the Directory OR to let us know that you wish to Opt Out so that your child will not be included. Click here to complete the form now.

 

  • PTSA Activity Waiver - this form gives your child permission to participate in activities supported by the PTSA, such as the Walkathon, 8th Grade Party, and the After School STEM Club. Click here to complete this form online.

 

  • PTSA Photo Release Waiver - this form gives your child permission to be photographed during PTSA-sponsored activities such as the Walkathon or 8th Grade Party. It does not affect participation in the yearbook. Click here to complete this form online.

 

  • TDAP Immunization Confirmation (7th graders only) - This is not a form to be completed. All students entering 7th grade need to provide proof of an adolescent whooping cough booster shot (TDaP, DTap, DTP, Adacel, or Boostrix) before starting school. It's Back! Paper-Based Student Directory

The Classic PTSA student directory is now back by popular demand! As always, you do not need to purchase a copy of the directory in order to be included, but the directory is an important fundraiser for the PTSA, and your purchase helps to support our many programs and services. To Opt-In/Out of the Student Directory, please click here.

 

To purchase a directory, please visit the PTSA webstore. Directories will be distributed during Advisory class once they have been printed.

Volunteer at DVMS

Want to learn about volunteer opportunities at DVMS? Click here to view our volunteer interest form. A volunteer coordinator will contact you soon about your areas of interest.

 

Please note that adults who wish to volunteer on a school campus, drive and/or chaperone a day and/or overnight field trip and/or athletic event need to apply through thVolunteer Management System (VMS). SRVUSD has partnered with Be A Mentor, Inc., to support the on line registration and screening process of school volunteers.  If you completed the registration and screening process last year, your registration will continue to be valid for the entire time that your child is registered as a student at SRVUSD. You do not need to re-register, but will be asked to update your information if it becomes outdated.

Diablo Vista Walk-Through Registration Aug 8

Diablo Vista Walk-through Registration for the 2016-2017 school year will be on August 8th from 9am to noon and 4pm-7pm in the school Gymnasium. At this event, student will take photographs for student IDs. PE clothes and DVMS Spirit Wear will also be available.

 

For your convenience, donations and purchases can be made in advance on line beginning on August 4th.  Links are provided on our homepage.

Registration Concierge Service

Are you new to middle school, or would like some assistance in getting through the middle school registration process? We’re here to help! Please see our Registration FAQs to find the answers to commonly asked questions.

Want some additional help? You can click on this link to sign up for a 30 minute appointment during our Walk-Through Registration on August 8. Someone from the PTSA or Foundation will personally answer all of your registration-related questions, and can walk you through the different aspects of registration, such as how you can purchase school-related items for your child, or make a voluntary donation to support your child’s education.

School Photos

School photos will be taken at the Walkthrough Registration on Aug 8. If you wish to pre-pay for your student's photo package, you can do so by clicking here to pay online with a credit card or by clicking here to download the order form to bring with you on Aug 8.

 

You do NOT need to purchase photos in order to receive a student ID or be included in the school yearbook.

 

Students who do not attend the Walkthrough Registration will have an opportunity to have a make-up photo taken on August 23rd.

SRVUSD Annual Update

San Ramon Valley Unified parents are asked to complete an online “Annual Update” to verify household and emergency contact information and complete the annual release acknowledgement and permission requirements.

Complete the District Online Annual Update using your Parent Portal in Infinite Campus.

The Annual Update window for the 2017-18 school year is scheduled to open on July 28 for Diablo Vista. At that time you will be prompted to log into your Parent Portal account to complete this important task for the new year.  Check your Portal “InBox” for a message titled “Annual Update Fall Registration”.  This message will guide you through the Annual Update process.  

Only one Annual Update is required for each family at a primary address.  The message will continue to appear in your inbox until the end of the Annual Update period.  Please disregard the message once you have completed your Annual Update. You will receive a confirming email following completion of the Annual Update process.
